Surrounded by woodland and overlooking its own tranquil lake, Hackness Grange Hotel offers a haven of peace and respite from the frantic pace of modern day life. Built in the 19th Century, this traditional Georgian Manor formerly the Dower House of Lord Derwent’s estate, lies on the edge of the dramatic North Yorkshire Moors national Park. More than 500 square miles of glorious countryside with rolling moorland and majestic forests. From heather filled moors and scenic dales to the spectacular Yorkshire Heritage coastland…you can choose to make your break with us at Hackness Grange as active or as relaxing as you like.
Sat in 17 acres of its own private grounds with a tennis court, lake as well as pleasant strolls in the grounds, along the River Derwent which the grounds border, the hotel is the perfect venue for those who want to escape to somewhere peaceful and quiet.
The hotel has 28 letting rooms, with 13 rooms in the Main House and the remainder in the Courtyard, a short walk away. All the rooms are en-suite and have the facilities as expected of a 3 star equivalent standard.
The hotel now has a brand new function suite and is able to cater for weddings, conferences, dinner dances, murder mysteries as well as private dining and christenings or funeral teas. Please see the website or contact the hotel for further information.
Dining at the hotel is a culinary experience, with a gorgeous traditional styled restaurant, aptly named
‘The Derwent Restaurant’, offering a new A-la carte menu with locally sourced ingredients.
