A Traditional Sunday Lunch

What better way to end the week than at Hackness Grange’s Derwent Restaurant with a traditional Sunday lunch. Our meals are made as far as possible with locally sourced ingredients and meats making us one of ‘the’ places to go for Sunday lunch in the North East area. Seating in a traditionally set restaurant with crisp white linen and during the colder months a superb log fire roaring, the atmosphere in the Derwent Restaurant oozes of opulence!
The Derwent Restaurant is open to both residents and non-residents alike and is available from 12 mid-day to 2PM. Following lunch, you can have coffee in the lounge bar or in a comfy seat on the patio, weather permitting, overlooking our extensive private grounds, watching the ducks on our private lake, or guests enjoying croquet.

We also have the Lounge Bar menu served in the 2325 Lounge Bar should you not wish for a full Sunday lunch, offering a variety of snacks, sandwiches and lighter bites. The 2325 Lounge Bar also has a welcoming fireplace that is lit during our colder months, traditionally furnished with ‘chesterfields’ and a superb hand build traditional oak bar, giving a warm and relaxing atmosphere. If you have a four-legged friend with you, they too are warmly welcomed in the lounge bar, to curl up in front of the fire and to keep you company.

Our Head Chef prides himself in using locally sourced products as far as possible, from the different meats to the vegetable bought. We also try and support our local fishermen, with a mix of locally caught seafood products. We have made our menu to include both vegetarian as well as gluten free, however we understand that there are on occasion times that a menu may not suit ones need. If you can let us know at least two days in advance of your arrival, then our Head Chef will endeavor to make something to meet your needs. Whilst we will try our best to accommodate your dietary needs, we are unable to offer meals that are nut free / peanut free due to the limited space / equipment of our kitchen to provide that assurance.

Sunday Lunch is served 12pm – 2pm. Please book your table in advance to avoid disappointment on 01723 882037.
